9 Easy Smoothie Recipes

I am so excited that fresh fruit season is finally approaching! Though fruit is tasty on its own, I love how easy it is to make freezer bag smoothie recipes for when you're in a time crunch for breakfast or just want a cool, tasty treat in the summer. We've signed up for a CSA (Community Sponsored Agriculture) starting in May where we will get a box of locally grown fresh fruit and a box of locally grown fresh vegetables every week. I am excited to discover new recipes to make with the vegetables, but I wanted to get a head start on trying out some fruit smoothies ASAP!

Smoothies can be made with a variety of liquids.  I typically make mine with almond milk, because that is what I always have on hand, but you could use any of the following:

Liquid Options
  • Apple juice
  • Almond milk
  • Coconut milk
  • Coconut water
  • Yogurt
The following recipes can be blended fresh, or tossed in a freezer bag and placed into the freezer for later use.

  • ½ cup blueberries
  • ½ cup strawberries
  •  + 1 cup liquid option
